The Webley/Fosbury was the brainchild of Col. George Fosbury, and was very successful design for an "automatic revolver." It was recoil operated, and thought to be very comfortable gun to shoot. In .38 caliber it is known as the "Winans" Model, named for Walter Winans, a top pistol shot in his day.
