Warner Arms Corp. was established in Brooklyn in the early 1900s to import the Schwarzlose pistol from Germany. When importation of the Schwarzlose ceased, Warner Arms began manufacturing the Infallible about 1914. In 1917 Warner merged and became Davis-Warner Arms Co. In 1919 operations ceased and pistols manufactured by Davis-Warner were called "Infallible" without "The". Though never popular, the pistol is becoming a valued collector's item.
