Made originally by G. Tangfoglio and Sabotti, a company that began production after WW II. Importation ceased with the Gun Control Act of 1968. A combination of imported parts and U.S. manufacture, the gun was continued under the EIG name. Designed with an external hammer and thumb safety, the pistol seems reliable.
