A well made pistol with an unusually long barrel(5.6"). This is a modification of the 1911 Browning design. It may be considered the "old model" because of the introduction of a shorter and more streamlined version. The magazine for this model has a narrow floorplate similar to a Colt 45 automatic magazine, while the later model has a wide floorplate like a Walther P-38. Some were marked ESPECIAL and also Cal 9mm.
